...We begin, with God's help
And grant him success with a copy of the balance of the blessed month of Muharram
For seven days, beware of increasing or subtracting a single point
Or you add a letter or subtract a letter and the statement is no longer correct because this is the evidence
Ends (f. 69v, lines 9-12):
And on the [?] month of Muharram, they will sing and on the sixteenth of Jumada al-Akhir the eclipse will take place
When the sun rises, it rises the length of a shaft, and on that day there is an even wind
Some trees are uprooted and the east becomes dark during a solar eclipse, followed by a succession
In the king of Egypt, among the Turks, he struck with a sword and spit, among them there was a lot of creation, and God knows best
