Notes Arabic version of the They split a cylinder (The Book of the Qur'an and the Covenant) by the mathematician (Archimedes; fl. 3rd century BC), revised by Thābit ibn Qurrah (Thābit ibn Qurrah; d. 901) and presented here in the edition of Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī (Nasir al-Dīn al-Tusi; d. 1274) along with a commentary based largely on that by Eutocius of Ascalon (Authioqius al-Ascalani; d. ca 540), the Commentarii in books of sphaera and cylinder . . . . For a history of the edition, see the editor's preface (ff. 118v, lines 2-119v, line 6). The text ends with an appendix by the mathematician and astronomer Abū Sahl al-Qūhī (2nd half of the 10th century). The diagrams are collected on fold outs on ff. 143r, 164r, 178r and 205r. Begins (editor's introduction f. 118v, lines 2-4; and text proper f. 119v, lines 6-7): He then said: Praise be to Allah and His glorification and peace be upon Muhammad and his family I am looking for a moratorium on some of the issues mentioned in the book Column for Archimedes Zaman Twila ... The first article is the cover of the book Open Archimedes' book by saying to a single speaker named Desbythaus Ends (f. 231v, lines 8-10): ... And like that prophet in all parts are small Or greater than the half and one of us is closer to the half than the other and you ما أردناه فەذا ما أورده أو (!) سەل القوهي Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text.
