Beginnings (f. 327v, lines 2-5):
A good ointment for pigs that dissolves steel in a week and anything less than that in three days. He prescribed it
Galen in Galatian and his version takes mustard, black seed, sulfur, and butter
The sea, zarwand, maqal, Ashq, old oil, and wax, and he tried the urine of the Bedouin camel
It is applied as a bandage or ointment and mixed with porcine medicines, and it is beneficial...
Ends (f. 330r, lines 4-8):
...Then a mourner is taken from the Mashkatra
And the mushrooms, the jew's stone, the celery seed, the myrrh, the kindergarten, and the saffron
A sixth part of white pepper is taken from each one, and a third part is taken from the ivory bones and crushed
All of these medicines are poured with lime from the aforementioned stones and mixed with double honey
By weight, it is pinched from a mithqal and watered.
