Notes Treatise on the first caliphs. The text is followed on follo. 192b-197a by a qaṣīdah by the author and several fāʼidah written by the same hand as the main text, the last one from Suyūṭī's disciple al-Nāmirī al-Ḥanafī. | Ms. codex., Title from note by a later hand on fol. 1a., 25 lines per page. Written in small medium naskh in black ink with use of red. From fol. 115 on, black ink only. European paper with watermark. Inscription in Roman script on a label pasted on fol. 1a (repeated in red pencil on fol. 1a): "137Y"., Copy completed 13 Ṣafar 985 [May 2, 1577] ʻAlī ibn Ṭāhir ibn ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻIrāq al-Kinānī al-Shāfiʻī (colophon, fol. 197a)., Incipit: As for praising God who promised and fulfilled his promise, then he pardoned, and prayers and peace be upon our master Muhammad, the master of honor and Masoud, the caliph, and on his family and companions, people of generosity and loyalty. This is a nice history in which I translated the caliphs, the Commanders of the Faithful who are in charge of the nation from the era of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq to our present era, in the order of their time, the first and the first. Explicit: The poor Gramard al-Namiri al-Hanafi said A student of the author, may God have mercy on him, I do not doubt or doubt that the tribulation of the ninth year is the tribulation of Ibn Uthman Sulaiman Shah and his discord with his brothers... [197a]... and to work according to the functions of your upright religion and to fulfill it, O God, to have pity on the subjects and be kind to them and take care of their interests, and make amends, O God, all rulers of the affairs of the Muslims, Amen | Upper cover modern replacement.
