Marginal summaries in red. Foliate decoration and inscriptions in Arabic and Malay at beginning and end (fol. 1a-3a and 184b-189a). Foliation skips from 15 to 18., Collection: Paper ; fol. 189 ; occasional catchwords; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (Pro patria with roman-alphabet lettering "W W & H Pannekoek" and "W W LTD"); MS in good condition., Origin: Probably 19th century. Possibly created in Malaysia based on the Dutch paper and Malay marginalia., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad... Praise be to God, who caused creation to grow and made them alive after they were dead... And then this is a book in which the beginnings of the creation of the earth and the heavens were collected..., Colophon: The stories of the prophets were completed, with the praise and help of God, and to Him is the return and the return, and may God’s blessings be upon those whom we have every day and night. Resurrection will intercede, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, his family, and all his companions, Amen, Lord of the Worlds | Later type II (with flap) binding in golden brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla in a frame with cornerpieces, color-stamping, outlining in gold tooled lines and gold-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap.
