Versification of al-Ḥāwī al-ṣaghīr, a compendium of Shāfiʻī law (see al-Durar al-kāminah, III, 195). His master al-Bārizī is mentioned at the beginning of text. The text is followed on fol. 148a by 9 lines of poetry attributed to al-Shāfiʻī written by the same hand as the main text. | Ms. codex., Incipit Shiʻr lil-Shāfiʻī (fol. 148a): He said that when Jesus came seriously in the palace he had lost his patience, Title from rubric on fol. 1b., Physical description: 18 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh, in black ink with use of red and blue for headings and re-inking; marks consisting of three red or blue dots at beginning, center, and end of each line; yāʼ for alif maqṣūrah. European paper; glossy; frame-ruled. Occasional marginal annotation. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including ownership statements and the copy of a letter from Medina ("Shurat maktūb warada min al-Madīnah al-munawwarah min baʻḍ al-fuḍalāʼ wa-li-baʻḍ al-ahsrāf").
