Notes Elegant copy of an anonymous abridgement of al-Alwāḥ al-ʻImādīyah. According to R. Mach, this is probably identical with Topkapı 8677/2. | Ms. codex., Title from beginning of text (fol. 2a)., 13 lines per page. Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in blue and gold on fol. 1b (partly cut off). The text is framed within a gold, black and blue border. Several ownership statements with seals on fol. 1a. The first foll. is cut in two, with no apparent loss of text., Copy completed on 13 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 994 in Aḥmadābād by Shahr? Allāh ibn Shams al-Dīn (colophon in Persian, fol. 50b). The colophon mentions the number of leaves (51)., Incipit: Blessed be Your name, exalted is Your remembrance... [2a]... And then this is the summary of the Tablets in which I mentioned sentences of pleasantries and a glimmer of strange things, Explicit: And save us from the twilight of nature to behold Your lights, to behold Your secrets, to be close to You, and to accompany the inhabitants of Your Kingdom, and gather us with those whom You have bestowed of the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the righteous, and the good of those.
