First half of the Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. | Ms. codex., Title from colophon (fol. 302a). The same title appears on the tail of the text block., 23 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red. Biscuit paper with laid lines visible. Marginal annotations. Portion of the inscriptions on the margins cut off due to the trimming of the pages., Incipit: Sheikh Al-Imam informed us... Abu Muhammad Al-Qasim bin Al-Imam... Abi Al-Qasim Ali bin Al-Hasan bin Hibatullah... reciting to him in Dhul-Hijjah in the year five hundred and eighty-three in Damascus. He said, Explicit: Chapter on the Islam of Salman Al-Farsi, may God be pleased with him, Al-Hasan bin Omar bin Shaqiq told me... They were both six hundred years AH. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Book of Conquests, Chapter G-- The Clan, Abdullah bin Muhammad told me, he said, Wahb told us, the first half of Sahih Al-Bukhari has been completed, so recite the other half in the Conquests | Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap.
