Title page has a diagram, several inscriptions, and mentions that the volume contains: Qawl Aḥmad ʻalá al-Fanārī and Ḥāshiyah ʻalá al-qawl Aḥmad ʻalá al-Fanārī., Collection: Paper ; fol. i + 42 + i ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 17 lines per page., Description: Overining in red ; watermarks (three crescents?, roman-alphabet lettering) ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copied at the end of Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1192 by Zayn al-ʻĀbidīn ibn Bakr (fol. 42a)., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, who has enabled us to summarize the speech and achieve standing, prayer, and peace... And then this is a new brief explanation and a unique concise speech on the new Isagogi, Colophon: This honorable footnote in logic is attributed to the reading of Dawud Zayn al-Abidin bin Bukair on a day without studying during the evening meal. It took place at the end of the Hajj in the year 1192 | Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in brown leather and blue embossed paper. Yellow paper pastedowns and flyleaves. | Autograph and seal impression of al-Sayyid Aḥmad Rifʻat on fol. 1a with a repetition of the impression on 42b. Three other seal impressions on fol. 1a.
