Praise be to God, who has bestowed upon man the knowledge of the clarifications of speech and its constructions, and the creation of the letters... and after a while... It became widespread in the countries and the appearance of the sun during the day appeared. The sacrificial message..., Colophon: I finished writing this desired explanation at the four [fourth] hour of the twelfth Saturday of Rajab al-Fard in the year two hundred and seventy-six [two hundred] and a thousand. May God forgive him and his parents and his brothers and sisters and his grandfathers and grandmothers and his relatives and his ties of lineage, marriages [in-laws] and breastfeeding.
