Ibn al-ʻArabī's metaphysical treatise in 27 chapters composed in 1226 in Damascus, accompanied by a short (incomplete?) glossary of Sufi terms. The latter is (loosely) arranged in alphabetical order, starts with al-alif, al-ittiḥād, aḥadīyat al-jamʻ etc., the terms covered correspond to the terms contained in Iṣṭilāḥāt al-Sūfīyah by ʻAbd al-Razzāq al-Qāshānī, but there are much fewer of them and although some of the wording of the explanations is similar to that used by Qāshānī, the text nevertheless differs. | Ms. codex., Title supplied by the cataloger., 15 lines per page. Main text written in small naskh in black ink with use of red. The text of the glossary written in small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Although the style of writing differs, the two texts seem to be contemporary and written continuously in same ink and possibly same hand. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Foliation in Western numerals in pencil., Ms. additions: Numerous short inscriptions on fol. 1a, one of them dated 1163 (1750). Three short inscriptions and one ownership seal on fol. 99b. Ff. 16a-17a contain a text with the heading 'Faṣṣ ḥikmah fardīyah fī kalimah Muḥammadīyah' commenting on the final chapter of Fuṣūṣ al-ḥikam. Ff. 97-98 contain a short commentary relating to Ibn al-ʻArabī's Mawāqiʻ al-nujūm. Extensive marginal annotations to the main text in a later hand. | 1. Fol. 1b-15b: [Iṣṭilāḥāt al-Sūfīyah], 2.
