Long commentary on al-Urjūzah by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Yāsamīnī (d. 601/1204), a versified treatise on arithmetic. | Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloger., Physical description: 21 lines per page. Written in clear small naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and re-inking. Red teardrop text-stops, in group of three to mark the beginning and end of verses. Light cream paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines, and pulp visible., Collation: Paper, fol. 20 ; 1-2¹⁰ ; catchword on the verso of each leaf., Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on fol. 1a: "3 ʼmīyah"., Origin: Copied from an autograph on Wednesday 7 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 877 [May 5, 1473] in Cairo (al-Qāhirah), by Muḥammad ibn Ḥamzah ibn Aḥmad ibn ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad al-Ḥusaynī al-Shāfiʻī̈ al-Dimashqī (colophon, fol. 20a)., Incipit: Sheikh Imam Allamah Badr al-Din Muhammad Sibt al-Mardini al-Shafi’i said: Praise be to God who has strengthened the hearts of His saints with good treatment on the Day of Judgment...
