Six following folios contain an ode by ʻAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī; a few verses of wisdom, three of which are by al-Afwah, a noted pre-Islamic poet; a genealogy of the author carried back to Adam; still another genealogy of the authorʼs maternal ancestry; three short poems on Ṣūfī love and three prayers in prose., Collation: Paper ; fol. ii + 14 + iii ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 15 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; verse separators in red ; some folios lightly tinted ; MS in fair condition; folios 1 and 4 are foxed and mended with gauze with some loss of legibility., Origin: According to colophon copied by Abū al-Fatḥ Muḥammad Ṣadaqah ibn ʻUmar ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-ʻĀdilī al-Shāfiʻī al-Qādirī (fol. 9a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه ثقتي. الحمد لله الذي جعل اشعار الاخيار حکما ... اما بعد فانه لما ظهرت خرقتي في البلاد, Colophon: وکتبه راجي الله تعالى ابوالفتح محمد صدقه بن عمر بن محمد بن محمد العادلي الشافعي القادري عفا الله عنه. کتب بتاريخ سنة ... للهجرة | Later half-bound type III (without flap) binding in red leather and dark brown spotted paper.
