This text is attributed to Tāj (or Zayn) al-ʻĀrifīn al-Bakrī (d. 1087/1676) in GAL, II, 343 (47/1) and to Muḥammad ibn Zayn al-ʻĀbidīn in SN II, 368 (Mach, R. Yahuda). | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., 19 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink. Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) in blue and gold on fol. 1b. The text is written in two (or more) columns defined by red lines, with a red line outer border (gold and black borders on fol. 1b-2a). The headings are written in red ink. Glazed European paper with watermark. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "21" (or "31")., Collation: Paper, fol. 178, i ; 1¹⁰ (+1, before fol. 1, with inscriptions) 2-7¹⁰ 8⁸ (+1, after fol. 78, blank) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf., Copy completed on 7 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1063 [Feb. 5, 1653] by Muḥammad ibn Zayn al-Dīn ibn ʻAlāʼ al-Dīn ibn Zayn al-Dīn al-shahīr bi-al-Kafīrī (colophon, fol. 78a)., Incipit: قال الشيخ زين العابدين البكري ألف الحمد يُضاهي منك قدّ دا بل كم بَقَرَ القَلب وَقَدْ | Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, and envelope flap. The covers have an outer border consisting of two blind-tooled fillets, with the inner corners delineated by a single fillet. Central oblong stamp on upper and lower covers. Paper pastedowns. | From the books of Tāj al-ʻārifīn Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Qādirī (ownership statement dated 1115 H. [1703], with seal, repeated three times on fol. (i)a). Acquired by ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʻImādī(?) in 1198 H. [1783 or 4] (fol. (i)a).
