I came across a letter from some people of the ninth century, the content of which is that reciting dhikr out loud is an innovation - [abstraction in Parsing] Praise be to God, the Most High, the Most High -- [The Path of Favor] Praise be to God, the Vast, the Most Holy, to whom there is nothing like Him -- [Is'af al-Hanif] Praise be to God... You have mentioned in your book that He has appeared to you from what was decided in the Path of Definition -- [The Path of Lights] Praise be to God, the First, the Last, the Creator, the Bringer -- [The Chosen Path] Oh God, bless... Al-Shabramalsi, was asked... about Adam’s height and whether he remained tall when he was expelled from Paradise... and he answered...
