Lines of verse and other inscriptions (v. 1, fol. 208a-b). Names of seventeen of the better known commentators on Dīwān al-Mutanabbī (v. 2, fol. 1a). Largely illegible titles also appears on lower edge of text blocks., Collation: Paper ; fol. 208 + 174 ; catchwords (vol. 2 only) ; folation in ink using Hindu-Arabic numerals (v. 1) ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 22-35 lines per page ; volume 2 is ruled., Description: Headings in black with gold sprinkles or in green (v. 2) ; vowel signs ; each volume written in different hand, but volume 2 picks up immediately after volume 1 ; text commented upon written larger (v. 1) or in red (v. 2) ; vowel signs (vol. 1) ; folio 11 and the several folios after 203 are replacements, two of them tinted yellow (v. 1) ; watermarks (v. 2: three crescents) ; vol. 1 in good condition ; vol. 2 in excellent condition., Origin: According to colophon copy completed Monday 10 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1057 by Abū al-Falāḥ ʻAbd al-Ḥayy ibn Aḥmad ibn al-ʻImād, known as Ibn al-ʻAskar.
