Sūrah headings written in red or white ink on a gold background., Origin: According to colophon copy completed 1180 by ʻAlī Afandī, known as Saʻdīʹzādah (fol. 317b)., Colophon: This noble Qur’an was completed in the year one hundred and eighty and was written by the poor Ali Afandī known as Saadi Zādah [one of the disciples of?] Mustafa, known as Kuta? Sheikh Al-Jalu | Later? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Gold-stamped mandorla and cornerpieces and gold-tooled decorative edging on covers.
