On two pages before first is the beginning of a work on grammar., Collection: Paper ; fol. 104; catchwords ; Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 15 lines per page; frame-ruled in red on folios 1-9, 20-41 and 102-105, Description: Rubricated ; overlining in red; watermarks(hand-star); two types of paper; MS in good condition with a few folios stained with dampness and mended., Decoration: First page has simple illuminated headpiece in silver-flecked grey., Origin: MS dated 944 after the colophon (fol. 104a)., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him we seek help. Praise be to God who sent down from the sky Al-Furqan, Colophon: The lamp called the opening was explained with the help of God, King Al-Wahhab | Later type II (with flap) binding in brown leather and paper. A row of holes set from the inside edge indicate earlier binding. | Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900. | Hitti, P.
