Extensive damp staining, mildewed, numerous paper repairs, some insect damage. Several leaves at the beginning and end of the manuscript are partially worn away and particularly damaged., Incipit (Sūrat al-Nūr, leaf 14a):And from the Surah in which light is mentioned is Meccan, a Surah that refers to an obligation and a ruling. We have sent down and imposed it, meaning, and We have made it clear and sent down in it clear verses, meaning the Almighty, the verses of the Qur’an \| Remnants of binding including remaining sewing and part of multi-colored endband. \| Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1900, from the books of Amīn ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ḥulwānī al-Madanī al-Ḥanafī (Medina).
