Third and last part of a copy of Wāḥidī's al-Wasīṭ bayna al-maqbūd wa-al-basīṭ, completed in Rajab 461 [1069] (EI), comprising the commentary of the end of Sūrah 37 to Sūrat al-Nās (114). | Ms. codex., Title from colophon (fol. 220b)., Incipit: On the authority of Abu Harun al-Abdi, on the authority of Abu Sa`id al-Khudhari, who said, “I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, more than once or twice saying at the end of his prayer... Glory be to your Lord, Lord of Glory, above what they describe... Interpretation of Surat PBUH Abu Saad Muhammad bin Ali Al-Khafaf told us, Explicit: And I read Say, He is Allah, One, and Say, I seek refuge in my Lord.” Al-Falaq and say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,” whether it is still or gone, and this is the last interpretation of the glorious Qur’an known as the Mediator. Physical description: 19 lines per page. Written in medium small taʻlīq in black ink with use of red to overline the commented text. Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Occasional marginal annotations, including excerpts from a Sharḥ al-ṭarīqah al-Muḥammadīyah (see fol. 19a). Waqf (see mention on the upper margin of fol. 2b).
