Notes An ode praising the doctrine of Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Wahhāb al-Najdī, founder of the Wahhābī movement. Followed by a commentary on an ode called Nūnīyah. | Ms. composite codex., Title from text (fol. 1a, first group)., Marginal notes. In the introduction of the Qaṣīdah the copyist gives a brief account of the Wahhābī movement and how it was defeated by Muḥammad ʻAlī Pāshā of Egypt. He declares that he wrote this and will also follow it with rebuttals to the learned men who oppose it., Collation: Paper ; 15 + 9 + (1) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 17-19 lines per page ; ruled., Description: Verse separators in red ; rubricated ; overlining of lines from Nūnīyah in red ; watermarks (first group: shield with a face-in-the-moon, roman-alphabet letters "AG"; second group: bird, fleur-de-lis, roman-alphabet letters "G&A"?) ; MS in fair condition., Origin: Copied 20 or 26 J[umādá II?] 1280 by Muḥammad ibn Salāmah ibn ʻAbd al-Khāliq (fol. 15a, first group)., Incipit: [قصيدة] هذه قصيدة محمد بن اسماعيل من صنعاء اليمن يمدح بها عقيدة الوهابي محمد بن عبد الوهاب النجدي -- [شرح نونية] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. سبحان من طيبنا باللطائف اما بعد فيقول السيد احمد الحياتي احسن اليه فوز البراتي لما رائت بعض الشعرية والمزاينات النظمية, Colophon: [قصيدة] تمت بحمد الله وعونه وحسن توفيقه بقلم کاتبها افقر العباد واحوجهم الى رحمة ربه محمد بن سلامة ابن عبدالخالق کل الله له والوالديه ولمشايخه والمؤمنين والمؤمنات والحمد لله على غفر حال وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلّم 20 ج سنة 1280 تم -- [شرح نونية] تمت م م م | 1. fol. 1a-15a, first group: Qaṣīdah / Muḥammad ibn Ismāʻīl., 2. fol. 1b-9b, second group: Hādhā Sharḥ Nūnīyah.
