On the title page is an owner's signature and a note that the author was known as Ustādh [teacher] of Rāghib Pāshā, a vizier of Sultan Muṣṭafá, 1553, son of Sultan Sulaymān I, who reigned 1520-1566., Collection: Paper ; fol. 164; catchwords ; Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 23 lines per page; frame-ruled in red., Description: Rubricated ; MS in excellent condition., Decoration: Gilt-illuminated headpiece. Foles. 1b and 2a frame-ruled in gold., Origin: According to colophon copied 18 Shawwāl 1217 by ʻUrbakīrī Yaḥyá Afandīʹzādah Ayyūb Ṣābir (fol. 164a)., Incipit: In the name of God... We praise you, O God, for the virtues and blessings bestowed upon you, Colophon: The completion of the editing of [this] noble book occurred at the hands of the poor Arab man Yahya Effendi Zadeh Ayoub Saber, the teacher in the Aliyah Sultanate in the month of Shawwal 18 of the year two hundred and twenty-seven thousand A.H., who has glory and honour. Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Gold-tooled decorative edging on covers and flap. Blue paper pastedowns and gold-sprinkled green flyleaves.
