After the colophon are six verses of poetry by al-Shāfiʻī. On the following page and folio are two verses of poetry followed by the Muthallath (alternaries) of Quṭrub which treats those words which bear three different significations, according to whether the first syllable is pronounced with the vowels a, i, or u., Origin: According to colophon copied Thursday [1 Dhu] al-Qaʻdah 1142 (fol. 19a). Post-colophon material dated 1143., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Colophon: The completion of writing this blessed copy was on Thursday, the opening of the month of Qa’dah in the year one thousand one hundred and forty-two. Praise be to God alone, and there is no Lord other than Him. Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him is my trust.
