The first thing I say is I praise God, the Most High, the Most Generous, who taught with the pen, taught man what he did not know, then followed that with prayer... And after that, this is a book with which I explained my summary called the Golden Fragments in the knowledge of the speech of the Arabs, and completed its evidence... I said the word is a singular saying, and I say that the word has three languages and has two meanings., Explicit: That he make it available to His Noble Face and that the benefit from it be endowed and that He forgive me my sins on the Day of Judgment... And to the best of created beings, our master Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and all his companions. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, and praise be to Him first and last. | Type III (without flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging. Paper pastedown with inscriptions.
