Notes A medical work on poisons and their antidotes. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., The author composed the MS for al-Mufaḍḍal ibn Abī al-Barakāt, fl. ca. 484 [1091], the minister of Sayyidah ḥurrah, 532 [1137], who played the dominant role in Ṣanʻāʼ after the death of the Ṣulayḥid al-Mukarram Aḥmad 473-484 [1080-1091]., Collection: Paper ; fol. i + 54 + i ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; overlining in red; vowel signs; MS in good condition, some staining. MS is probably from the sixteenth century; Extremely rare., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, a Lord who makes it easy. Praise be to God, the One, without any way in which he can be encompassed... Al-Hussein Ibn Abi Thalab, Ibn Al-Mubarak, the physician, said: As for what follows, grace sows love, and whoever loves blessings sustains it..., Colophon: And God grants success, and in Him is help, and there is no power or strength except in Him, and He is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
