Last folio is defective., Origin: According to colophon copy completed Monday 5 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1217 by Muḥammad ʻAbd al-Jawād al-Mālikī al-Azʹharī al-Miṣrī (fol. 68a)., Incipit: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, the Sustainer of every soul... and after He says... On Al-Manshalili Al-Maliki... It has occurred to me to put a message in the Signs of the Hour..., Colophon: The completion of writing this blessed copy was on the blessed Monday, the fifth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, which is one of the months of the year 1217, one thousand two hundred and seventeen, at the hands of its poor writer, the poor to God, Muhammad Abd al-Jawad al-Maliki al-Azhari al-Masri, may God forgive him, his parents, his sheikhs, and all Muslims by his grace. And his generosity, Amen Contemporaneous type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap.
