Gloss on the commentary by Maḥmūd ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Iṣfahānī (d. 749/1348) on Tajrīd al-ʻaqāʼid by Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī. | Ms. codex., Title from note on fol. 1a., Ḥāshiyah on the margins. Title on tail of text block., Layout: 21 lines per page ; partially frame-ruled in red (fol. 11a-20b, 41a-70b)., Description: Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for "qawluh" and overlining. Some spaces left for rubrication blank (see fol. 6a). Thin paper with laid and chain lines visible. A few leaves are dyed, mostly in yellow (see fol. 264). Some of these leaves are damaged due to the bad evolution of the dyeing. These leaves are blackened and extremely fragile (see fol. 266, 269)., Origin: Copy completed in 891 H. (colophon in glittering ink, fol. 323b)., Incipit: قوله امّا بعد حمد واجب الوجود خصّ بالذكر من صفاته العلى ما هو اخص به تعالى اعنى الودوب الذاتى لا نطوائها على سآئرها اذ هو معدن لكلّ كمال, Explicit: بتأثر المتأثر بقبول تلك الصفة فيكون هناك متأثر به اخرى وهكذا ويلزم التس تم الكتاب | Type II (with flap) binding in red-brown leather over paper pasteboards. The covers have and outer border made of blind tooled fillets and running patterns with the inner corners outlined by a fillet. The inner panel is outlined with one single gilt fillet. Small central six lobes flower stamp with floral motif on gold background. The envelope flap has a portion of the same frame and central stamp. Geometrical decoration consisting of blind-tooled and gilt fillets on the fore-edge flap. Black leather doublure.
