Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may his blessings be upon the Master of Messengers... And then, the kindest speech is bestowed and most honorable in place, Colophon: [Summary of Siraj] The book was completed with the help of the Most Gracious Al-Wahab. The call to prayer for noon on the blessed Thursday, the twenty-seventh of the holy month of Shaban, one of the months of forty-one and a thousand years from the Prophet’s migration. The best prayers and peace be upon its author. A collection of ancient fables and poems of South Arabian origin. Incomplete at the beginning., 6. fol. 147b-154a: [Fawāʻid] Miscellaneous additions including: Bāb al-Dukhūl ʻalá al-salāṭīn, selections by al-Imām al-Shāfiʻī, verses of poetry by Nashwān al-Ḥimyarī, Ibn Hānī al-Maʻarrī, Manṣūr ibn Ismāʻīl al-Yamanī and others. Folio 154a overwritten., 7. fol. 154b-231b: Kitāb al-Ādāb. An anthology in five parts: (1) wisdom sayings in prose, (2) short selections, (3) wisdom sayings in verse, (4) proverbs and (5) miracle verses.
