Notes Treatise on Ḥanafī fiqh. | Ms. codex., Title from preamble of text (fol. 2a)., Physical description: 9 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink (faded to brown), with use of red. Cream paper with chain and laid lines visible; some leaves darker, tending towards peach. Marginal and interlinear annotations and commentaries. Title on tail of text block. Fol. 1 consists of a modern piece of paper pasted on the recto of the first original leaf. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals, Inscriptions in Arabic script on the pastedown of the upper cover:, Origin: According to colophon, copy completed by Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī at the end of Ramaḍān 770 [May 1369] (fol. 237b)., Incipit: Praise be to God, who exalted knowledge in the hurricane and exalted His party in the Egyptians. And the prayer... said our Lord Al-Nahrir, the author of the statement and the statement in reporting and editing, the revealer of problems and dilemmas, the clearer of metaphors and references, the source of the Most High, the knowledge of guidance, the best of Al-Wari, the preserver of the truth, the religion, and the religion, the sun of Islam and the Muslims, the legacy of the prophets and messengers, Abu Al-Barakat Abdullah Ibn Ahmad Ibn Mahmoud [2a] Al-Nasafi, may God bestow upon him the lights of His mercy and cover him with His forgiveness, when I saw the desires tending to shortcuts and temperaments, desiring long ones. I wanted to give a comprehensive summary of what was widespread and widespread, so that it would be of great benefit. Explicit: Then divide the sum according to the correction, and whoever is in favor [237b] of the heirs regarding something, make it as if it had not happened, then divide among the shares of those who remained. What was left was completed with God’s help and good success. Quarter bound with flap in marbled paper and golden brown leather.
