Compendium on Ḥanafī law, based on the Mukhtaṣar by al-Qudūrī (d. 428/1037) and the Manẓūmah by al-Nasafī (d. 537/1142), completed in 690/1291 (see GAL). | Ms. codex., Title from the beginning of text (fol. 3a, l. 6-7)., Incipit: Praise be to God, who has made the scholars shining stars for guidance and pure icons to follow... As for what follows, this is a book whose size is small for the memorizer, Explicit: We forbade the company or the mosque without mentioning an agreement that invalidates it and permitted it to be completed, Physical description: 9 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh with elements of taʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Cream paper with pulp visible. Ḥāshiyah and short excerpts, mainly fatwas, on the margins and between the lines, apparently by the same hand as the main text. Table of contents on fol. 2a. Several short excerpts on the page. 1a-2a. Lower margin of some leaves worm-eaten., Inscription in Arabic numerals in red pencil on a label pasted on the upper cover: "346".
