Notes Treatise on religious matters, completed on 8(?) Shawwāl 1271 [June 18, 1855] (see end of text, fol. 127a). The text is followed on follo. 127b-128b by a short text in Persian concerning Adam, written in pencil. | Ms. codex., Title from preamble of text (fol. 2a, l. 3)., Physical description: 16 lines per page. Written in small medium naskh in black ink. Wove paper with impression of an embossed blind stamp in Cyrillic and Roman script, reading: “Fabriki Sergieva [in Cyrill.] no. 6 [in Rom.]” ; glossy. Ink spreading and water damage on a few leaves, with loss of text (fol. 2a, 44b-45a)., Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Sunday 23 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1283 [August 5, 1866] by Muḥammad Ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ransajānī(?) al-... al-Yazdī al-aṣl (fol. 127a, followed by verses of poetry)., Incipit: Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and may God’s prayers and peace be upon Muhammad and his good family... The sinful servant Karim bin Ibrahim says: This is an orphaned pearl and a great jewel the likes of which the eye of time has not seen. Explicit: And it is not for us not to put our trust in God, when He has guided us to our paths, and in God, let those who trust put their trust, and when the talk has reached a long time, and we have been exhausted, and we have More important than his work, we saw this in the afternoon of the third day, the second (?) of Shawwal of the months of the year seventy-one after the death of the two thousand, praising, praying and seeking forgiveness, Incipit Text 2 (fol. 127b): In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, say to God, there is no god, God, Adam, in a world, created by God, Jamal Khwaish, in the desert, Nahadim, in Adam Sharif Est | Limp brown leather binding with outer border consisting of fillets and a guilloche. | Mach, R. and E.
