ff. 56. 169 x 124; 133 x 90 mm. 13 lin. Ṣafar 862, Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Abī Bakr al-Kinānī al-Būṣīrī., Acephalous anonymous account of miracles of pre-Islamic prophets from Adam to Jesus, apparently identical with ms. India Off. 1036/2. The present work resembles very closely that of Ibn ḥamdān 5/11th cent.: Brockelmann, GAL, I, 436, no. 7: Kitāb muʻjizāt al-anbiyāʼ) publ. with Turkish translation by Ömer Ziyaüddin, Istanbul, 1338/1340, but differs both in style and in the number of miracles attributed to individual prophets. The account of Adamʼs second miracle begins as follows (fol. 1b, line 5): ...the second of Adam’s miracles, peace be upon him. When he wanted to perform Hajj a second time, he was walking and saw a group of people from the sons of Cain. Explicit: (ident. withms. India Off.): And this is what is true for us of the miracles narrated in the reports with authentic chains of transmission from the prophets, may God’s prayers and peace be upon them all. The Noble Book was completed, thanks to God.
