Notes An abridgment of al-Tadhkirah al-hādiyah, a work on medicine by ʻIzz al-Dīn Abū Isḥāq Ibrāhīm ibn Muhammad ibn Ṭarkhān al-Suwaydī. Incomplete to finish. | Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloger., Marginal notes. The authorship of this abridgment is not certain. It has been attributed to Badr al-Dīn Muhammad al-Qūṣūnī and to ʻAbd al-Wahhāb al-Shaʻrānī. Short astrological inscription followed by a listing of the rising times of zodiac signs (fol. 1a). Selection from "Kitāb al-Mūjaz sharḥ al-Qāhirah" on mummies, and a brief addition labeled "Hādhā al-ruʼyah ʻalá ayyām al-shahr" (fol. 227b)., Collation: Paper ; fol. 227 ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 19 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; some paper lightly tinted yellow ; watermarks (coat-of-arms?) ; MS in good condition., Origin: Probably from the XVIIth century., Incipit: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful ... Open with praise to Allah and thank Him for His blessings ... and after spending Friday in this remembrance, Ending: ... تفاح ورقه الاخضر | Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in brown leather and paper.
