Opening spread frame-ruled in gold (fol. 1b-2a). Asās al-iqtibās has an elaborate headpiece in the same colors. Opening spread frame-ruled in gold (fol. 5b-6a)., Origin: According to colophon for the volume copy completed 1247 in al-Qayṣarīyah by Muhammad al-Rushdī (fol. 80b). And praise be to Allah, the One, and the blessings of Allah be upon him, from whom there is no prophet after him-- [The book] was published This book was written in the first city of Jamadi by Muhammad al-Rushdi, the famous city of Caesarea, and is included in the famous ancient Surah 1247 | 1. fol. 1b-4b: Jawharat al-tawḥīd / little Shaykh Ibrahim al-Laqānī. A doctrinal poem on the unity of God and the principal doctrines of Islam that follow there-from., 2. fol. 5a-78a: Asās al-iqtibās / Ikhtiyār ibn Ghiyāth al-Dīn al-Ḥusaynī. A collection of Koranic verses, traditions, short sayings, proverbs and some selections from poetry and prose together with some instructions as to the bibliography for and technique of various lines of knowledge as well as other sources for the improvement of the style of writers and speakers., 3. fol. 78b-80b: [Poetry] / Muhammad ibn al-Ṣāliḥī al-Hilālī. | Contemporary type II (with flap) binding in red leather.
