Treatise on Ḥanafī furūʻ. | Ms. codex., Title from fol. 1a. It appears in the preamble of the text as Bidāyat al-mubtadiʼ (fol. 1b)., Physical description: 17 lines per page. Written in casual medium, large naskh in black ink, with larger script for headings. Thick light biscuit (some leaves peach) paper with thick laid lines and some chain lines visible. Fol. 1 is apparently a later addition. Marginal and interlinear annotations. Title on the tail of text block (hardly legible)., Origin: Copy completed on 15 Shaʻbān 831(?) [May 1428] in Aleppo in the Madrasat al-... by Aḥmad ibn ʻAbd al-Muʼmin ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Ṭālib ibn ʻAlī ibn Hāshim al-Ḥanafī (colophon, fol. 152b)., Incipit: The Book of the Beginning... Abu Hanifi, may God have mercy on him, there is no god but God, a preparation for meeting him. Praise be to God, who has guided us to the greatest of His wisdom, and [pity] upon His Messenger... The weak servant Ali Ibn Abi Bakr bin Abdul Jalil Al-Marghyani said, May God grant us success because of the beautiful remembrance and abundant saving that came to my mind... [2a] Book [Purity] God Almighty said, O you who have believed, you have risen to the point of purity, the verse, and He imposed [---] the washing of the three organs, Explicit: The Book of Hermaphrodite. And if the newborn has joy and remembrance... [152a] ... and eats, even if the dead animal is more than two or two halves, it is not entrusted to the Book, and God is the Grantor of what is right.
