Treatise on uṣūl al-fiqh. | Ms. codex., Title from title page in red ink (fol. 2a)., Physical description: 13 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red. Dark cream paper, with pulp, fiber, and a few visible lines. Ḥāshiyah on the margin, attributed to Asnawī (Isnawī), ʻIraqī, etc. Several short excerpts on the page. 1a-2a. Corrosive ink., Inscription in Roman script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "A 251e"., Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Tuesday, 8 Shawwāl 749 [Dec. 30, 1348] (fol. 54b)., Incipit: In the name of... the Lord, who has perfected the sanctity of whoever is glorified with greatness and majesty, and exalted who is unique in antiquity and perfection... And then, the most important thing that concerns the highest concerns and spends days and nights in it is learning the religious landmarks and discovering the truths of the Hanifi religion, Explicit: It is only permissible in the branches, and the principles have differed, and we have considered it, and let this be the last of our words, by God. The conciliator and the guide. Praise be to God first and last, outwardly and inwardly, and blessings be upon Muhammad and his family, continuous and interconnected.
