Praise be to God who sent down the Criterion to His servant so that he might be a warner to the worlds, so he challenged him with the shortest surah of his surahs..., Explicit: The first half of the lights of the revelation in the secrets of interpretation was completed with the help of God Almighty and his good success at the hands of the poor servant to his generous Lord, Jabir bin Ibrahim, may God forgive him and his parents... in the year twenty-five and nine, and praise be to God Almighty[?] -- The lights of revelation and the secrets of interpretation were written at the hands of the servant. The poor man who confesses his inability and negligence, Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Fayshi Al-Shafi’i. May God forgive him, his parents, his sheikhs, all Muslims, and those who prayed for them to be overwhelmed, Amen. The writing of it was completed on the blessed Monday, the twenty-first of the month of Rabi’ Al-Thani, in the year twenty [twenty] and ninety-five. May God bless it with a good end to Muhammad and his family and peace. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, and praise be to God alone.
