in the margin, quotes from Naẓm-i sulūk, apparently the work of Ibn-ʿAsākir (d. 730/1330;
GAL S II 24) — good headings, keywords and points red — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — fragment of an Islamic story. The text begins with the conclusion of the
Biography of an Imam Humām (?), followed by that of Imam Muḥammad Naqī, born
in Raǧab 195/April 811. F. 6a follows a section: imām-i ḥukkām-i Banī Umayya, in which the governments of
individual Umayyads are treated and the theologians are given special recognition. F. 24a on the ʿAbbāsids, with separate subsections on important events
of the time. The text breaks off after brief news about the death of the Sāmānid Nūḥ
Ibn-Naṣr 343/954 and other death dates, looting of a 344/955 ʿAbd-ar-Raḥmān
Nāṣir ship sent from Andalusia and the invasion of Rūm by Saif-ad-Daula
345/956. Persian and Arabic verses are inserted. The prose text is also sometimes Persian:
