Notes ʿunwān with yellow frame, white flowers on red and green background — black — paper — Copy of the famous adab work for princes and officials, which Bukhari of Johor [Bukhārī of Jūhūr] compiled 1012 AH / 1603 from various Arabic and Persian works. For further information see Snouck Hurgronje (1989: 254-257) The manuscript was probably copied in the early 19th century, probably in the 1810s or 1820s, by a scribe from Kedah for a European client.  The colophon was therefore probably copied verbatim from an earlier manuscript (A. Gallop).
