Notes Calico ribbon with leather back — Yemeni, large, strong, not vocalized, often without diacritics — black — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — The author justifies the claims of ʿAlī and his descendants to the Imāmat. F. 19b–26b: A list of those (not immediate) followers of Muḥammad (at-tābiʿūn), which have received their Riwāyh from the author, arranged alphabetically, with the title: "Ǧuzʾ fīhi tasmiyat man ruwiya ʿan al-imām aš-šahīd ... min at-tābiʿīn". Q. 26b-27b: some prayers from Zaid.
Sample Text f. 17a Al-Sharif Abu Ali Muhammad Ibn Al-Muhadhdhab Ibn Ma’ad Ibn Hamza Al-Alawi Al-Hasani informed us... The Imam said The martyr... Ask the people whether the Messenger of God gave a will or did not make a will. If they say he did not make a will or we do not know, etc. - because God has chosen them and removed the impurity from them and purified them with a thorough purification.
