Notes black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — princely mirror in 10 chapters (bāb), which includes the imamat, the vizier's office, the troops as well Legal issues relating to emirs and rulers are dealt with. Either the third chapter is missing in this MS. or the copyist has it Forgot the corresponding title heading. The author's nisba is al-Ḫairī on f. 1a and 2a. f. 2a: al-Ḫairbaitī wrote the Princely Mirror for the Circassian Mamluk Sultan al-Malik aẓ-Ẓāhir Saif ad-Dīn Abū Saʿīd Čaqmaq (r. 842-857/1438-1453; EI2 II/6 VI/329). f. 64b: The date beginning of Šauwāl 1036/June 1672 probably refers to the copy of the template, since the information in Ḥāǧǧī Ḫalīfa (Kašf aẓ-ẓunūn III/205, No. 4946) is the date of the autograph Ḏu 'l-Qaʿda 843/April-May 1440 is confirmed on f. 2a of the manuscript presented here.
