f. 175a My teacher, Sheikh Imam Al-Shafi’i, said... Abu Al-Fadl Muhammad bin Qadi Shahba Al-Asadi Al-Shafi’i...
Praise be to God for His judgment which cannot be defended, His judgment which He does not mind, and His command which, when declared, cannot be reviewed.
...And now I have mentioned in these papers some of the translations of my sheikh, my teacher, and my father, may God have mercy on him
Al-Ridwan and part of his discussion of public and private benefits, and mentioning some of his collections and writings, etc. - f. 179a So God Almighty had wide mercy on him and granted him Paradise with His grace and generosity, and this is what is made clear from the translation of the Sheikh of Islam.
