in 5 chapters (düstūr), of which (f. 6a) here only the preface/muqaddime
and the 1st chapter. (düstūr). In this work, which Sultan Muṣṭafā III. (1757-74) is dedicated
to process the estate of his father Aḥmed Efendi (f. 4a, 2, according to ʿOM
he ʿAbdullāh Efendi !) Ǧevrekzāde, who during his almost 80 years as a doctor
and surgical activity under the Sultan Aḥmed III. (1703-30) and Maḥmūd I (1730-54)
had dealt with this topic and collected relevant material. The text has a number of orthographic errors. Points are missing. Numerous, often interlinear text corrections, often by another hand.
