Light brown Oriental leather binding with fore-edge flap and envelope flap; central
ornament on the covers: mandorla with lobed perimeter, a flower-pattern fill and two
stylized blossom pendants; another mandorla motive toward the tip of the envelope
flap; ornaments are additionally backed with paper; the doublures of the covers and
envelope flap are made of paper, the doublures for the fore-edge flap are made of
leather — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Text in 17 chapters about the ritual treatment of newborn children. f. 131b: The copy was collated on Thursday, 6 Ṣafar 1232/26 December 1816 by ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz
