Notes black — paper — This is the manuscript marked “S” by Brockhaus. He received the same by »Dr. Fitz Edw. Hall from Sagor, in the interior of northwestern India," and says about it (in a note pasted into the front in 1569) as follows: »the original manuscript, from which my copy was copied is the best of the manuscripts I used, although the copy is full of errors." According to the information at the end, it came from from Kashmir and belonged respectively. just afterwards, probably in the beginning of the seventeenth century.
