| Notes | black — paper — Prākrita Manoramā, being an abridged commentary on the Prākrita prakāsa or Prākrita chandrikā of Vararuchi, by Bhāmaha. Copied from a maniscript in Mr. Colebrooke's collection, marked in the catalog R. 30. Lond. 1825. From this Apograph (pp. 1-125) Chapters I-IV. X-XII. On the right sides are the words of Bhāmaha written, on the left parallel places of Kalpataru, Sankṣiptasāra, Hemacandra. Then from page 126 there are various excerpts that he included used to decorate these institutions, e.g. GR. 133-147 from Kalpataru (Inst. p. 19); 148-166 a compendium of the Mahratta language from Carey's book is read, pp. 167-169 “Dissertation on the Prākritas”, 170-173 is the argument of Sankṣiptasāra explained. (Lassen's writings (89-112) on Sanskrit literature as well as Pracritic, Pali and Bactrian were given to the library in 1870). |
