partially blackened — palm leaf — excerpt from a treatise on Hinduism. Idea of impurity (aśauca) and
the associated cleansing ritual; see work entry; based on the Āśauca part of the
Yājñavalkyasmṛti and the Mitākṣarā thereto. Author unknown, attributed to various authors such as Vijñāneśvara, Bopadeva, Hemādri,
Attributed to Rāmacandrācārya, or Rāmācārya. Contrary to the colophon information, the text does not correspond to the Āśaucadaśaka, see for example VOHD
II, 5 No. 1732. Rather, it is an excerpt from the Āśaucatriṃśacchlokī
(of Vijñāneśvara see above), see VOHD II, 2 No. 792f. Undated copy.
