| Notes | paper — Puruṣottamamāsamāhātmya, the sanctity of the intercalary month (Adhimāsa) dedicated to Viṣṇu. From the Skandapurāṇa, in 30 chapters. In a dialogue between Sūta and Śaunaka. As usual, the importance of this month is supported by a number of legends. Starts on fol. 5a. For the exact division see catalog scan. The introduction (up to fol. 4a) is an excerpt from the Pratāpamārtaṇḍa on the being of the leap month and the customs in this. There is a short one on fol. 4a-5b Extract from the Rudrayāmala signed Adhimāsanirṇaya. According to Aufrecht it is a “good writing”. |
