Notes
paper — Adhyātmarāmāyaṇa, written to glorify Rāma as a divine being,
late poem. From the Brahmāṇḍapurāṇa. According to Aufrecht it seems to be from a Śivaite
to be written since the entire narrative is communicated by Śiva to the Pārvatī. Of course
it is borrowed from the Rāmāyaṇa, with the difference that in the modern work the sectarian,
the cult of Rāma as God emerges right from the beginning. 1) Bālakāṇḍa: 7 chapters, 13 leaves, foll. 14-16. Foll. 18-19 missing. The latter
from a later hand. 2) Ayodhyākāṇḍa: 9 chapters, 29 leaves. Fol. 1 is missing. 3) Āraṇyakāṇḍa: 10 chapters, 25 leaves. 4) Kiṣkindhākāṇḍa: 9 chapters, 20 leaves. 5) Sundarakāṇḍa: 5 chapters, 14 leaves. 6) Yuddhakāṇḍa: 16 chapters, 41 leaves. 7) Uttarakāṇḍa: 20 leaves. Foll. 55, 61 and 62 are missing. According to Aufrecht, the manuscript was from a book belonging to the Vaiṣṇava Nārāyaṇadāsa
copy copied.
