certainly the verses that are recited before the reading of the Devīmāhātmya. According to NCC 9, 143a, the texts Devīkavaca, Argalāstotra and Kīlaka go to the recitation
of the Devīmāhātmya (also Mārkaṇḍeyapurāṇa) and are preceded by the Devīsūkta and
